As certified organic wines, all Rosily wines have lower sulphite preservatives allowable in them than are allowed in non organic wines.
Sulphites are added as a preservative during the winemaking process, and are also naturally produced in small amounts during the fermentation process.
The amount of sulphite allowable in organic wines varies depending on whether it is a white wine or a red wine, but in all cases is significantly lower than is allowed in non organic wines. Organic whites are allowed 150mg/L, oganic reds 100mg/L - while non organic wines are allowed 250mg/L.
In some years Rosily makes a special batch wine with zero sulphite additions. Our most recent release of such a wine was the 2022 Sulphite Free Semillon / Sauvignon Blanc blend.
